Yes, we made it to the Louvre today. Tried the bus today and found that it was another easy way to get around this wonderful city.
The Louvre? In a word, unbelieveable! I don't think either of us was prepared for the immenseness of this beautiful museum. Seriously. Think at least 2, maybe 3 Vegas casinos.
Of course, you could spend a week touring this place and never see it all so we stuck to the masterpieces.
Like the Pyramid designed by I. M. Pei:
The beautiful Venus di Milo
And, of course, the Mona Lisa!
Okay, okay... Here are some nicer (unadulterated) photos of the these beautiful masterpieces. It was truly an awesome experience to see them up close and in person.

This is the piece that I liked best and I don't think it gets as much attention as the above two. It's called the Winged Victory of Samothrace. It really looks like it's about to take flight!
After the Louvre we walked, shopped and walked some more. Lots of beautiful things to see and buy!
We had a wonderful dinner at Cafe Constant. I can't let a day go by without any food pics!

I'm hoping that all the walking we're doing is working off the calories... All in all a FANTASTIC 30th anniversary!
One more parting pic. Scott and I are always amazed at how the Europeans manage to park their little Smart cars. Check this out:

Happy Anniversary!
